Miss H’s Hype Girl Boudoir Experience

After your boudoir session, you receive an email with the questionnaire to review the experience you had with Hype Girl Boudoir! These reviews are so important to my business, as they help me make the whole experience even better for you. You have the option to submit your review anonymously or with your name, and if you don’t want us to share photos we absolutely won’t! This beautiful lady has given us permission to tell you about her experience.

Here is a review from Miss H!

What made you decide to do a boudoir session?

I answered the model call and had very low expectations that I would be accepted and I was! I wanted to do this because I have NEVER been comfortable in my own skin. I wanted to do something to show myself I could put myself out there and boost my own confidence. I feel like I was taking back the power for loving who I am rather than leaning on others to help me appreciate myself.

What made you decide to hire me as your photographer?

Well Tiffany did my engagement photos and is shooting my wedding and I have loved every minute of working with her, so why not one more thing?!

How did you feel about the consultation?

Great!! I actually had purchased some lingerie before my consultation and after talking with Tiffany, I found some things that were more me. I for some reason thought I had some image I needed to portray, but after the consultation, I knew I needed to find things that were more me. Not some idea of what I thought I SHOULD wear. She also prepared me for exactly what would happen during the session so there were no surprises.

How were you feeling the week leading up to your session?

Honestly, with a wedding also coming up, that distracted me enough to not overthink it. I did have a few moments of "OH CRAP" but quickly got over it when I remembered why I was doing the session. Again, I think the consultation really prepared me for it and I knew Tiffany would make it feel as comfortable as possible!

Now that you've had your own photo shoot, how was it?

It was great! Everyone who is part of Hype Girl was so kind, helpful, and made me feel super comfortable. I was super proud too that Tiffany loved all the outfits I had. It was a full work out, though. I didn't believe them when they said it but I was sore the next day, but it was a good sore! :)

How did you feel about having your hair and makeup done?

I didn't do hair because I had it done the day before. Makeup was great!  I have never had a full face of makeup before and had zero opinions and it was still great!

Is there anything I could do that would make this experience completely perfect?

Explanation of how to get false eyelashes off, hahah! No, ya'll were great!

What was going through your head seeing your images for the first time?

Oh my god, is that my butt?! But really, that is what went through my mind. And that it's amazing how we view ourselves when just looking in a mirror versus someone taking flattering photographs of you without the pressure.

Do you feel like the flow I did during the reveal helped you?

Absolutely! I also loved that you picked up the fact that I was comfortable with laptops enough to hand it on over and I put it on my lap. It's always the little things. But the process of selecting was great! As someone who is typically pretty indecisive, that was a great way to narrowing down pictures.

“I answered the model call and had very low expectations that I would be accepted and I was! I wanted to do this because I have NEVER been comfortable in my own skin. I wanted to do something to show myself I could put myself out there and boost my own confidence. I feel like I was taking back the power for loving who I am rather than leaning on others to help me appreciate myself. Leading up I wanted to back out of it a couple of times but knew that wouldn't help me or anyone at all so knew that wasn't a possibility.

Leading up to the session, I regret not following those tips of stretching and drinking all the water because when you point your toe that many times, eventually your leg wants to cramp up so follow the tips ladies!! I was very nervous when I arrived at the session and suddenly blanked on all the next steps but they all walked me through everything that I quickly forgot. I even made a comment about not having on a bra but guess that really didn't matter considering and instantly relaxed.

As a person with ADHD, I loved seeing Tiffany pop from new idea to new idea because that means every session is unique and everyone gets an authentic fresh perspective of what will work for them not just what is always done. It went by a lot faster and wasn't easier but wasn't as scary as I envisioned it to be.

Getting to see all the pictures after an hour of wait is amazing! The selection process was also super simple and didn't overwhelm my usually overwhelmed brain. I didn't feel rushed or that I was picking any "wrong" pictures. So I feel I truly have the images that make me feel good to see and not what someone else thinks looks good.

If someone struggles with self-confidence or wants to step outside of their comfort zone I say do it, run don't walk! Tiffany could help a turtle see its true beauty! Even if the pictures are something you want to just keep forever for yourself, do it FOR YOU. I wanted these pictures for me and am proud of myself for doing it!” -Miss H
