Whether it's your first session or you're a seasoned pro, these tips will help you make the most of your experience and create stunning photos that encapsulates the goddess that lives inside you!

Wear What Makes YOU Feel Beautiful!

This might seem obvious, but hear me out. Boudoir is most commonly photographed with lingerie, and if you google 'boudoir outfit ideas', that's mostly what you're going to see. But just because it's most common doesn't mean it's your only choice!!

Sweaters, cardigans, t-shirts, dresses, work uniforms, biker gear, swimsuits... I could literally go on and on about all of the different alternatives to lingerie we've photographed! We can also spice up more toned-down clothes too—like a t-shirt and thigh-high socks with some spicy fishnets and lace undies. The key is to wear what makes you feel beautiful and confident.

Stretch Before Your Session!

I know it looks like a lot of our poses look comfortable, but I promise it can be a workout! We've had a ton of ladies say that they're sore after their sessions, so we always say to stretch your back, torso, and your booty/hamstrings! Even if it's just a quick stretch before your session, warming up these muscles can help prevent aches afterward.

Now, one thing I will say is that I’ve noticed a trend. My clients who are from Florida, for some reason, never seem to be sore after sessions! While my non-local babes usually say that they experience some soreness.

This is a GREAT way to be able to see if there's anything specific you'd like to recreate during your session. If you love our neons bonus set, mention it so we can plan ahead and talk about colors! If there's a specific pose you see us do (like the one where we have our ladies lay on our brown leather chair with their feet up—you know the one?), let us know so we can be sure to try and incorporate it.

I will say that some poses can be hard to do if you’ve had certain injuries in the past! For example, some of our kneeling butt poses can put a lot of pressure on your ankles. If you’ve had problems with your feet before, we may not be able to do that exact one! But in cases like this, we have similar backup pose options that can recreate the look in a same-but-different way without hurting you.

There's a big difference between checking out the Hype Girl social media pages versus Google or Pinterest ideas. One is that we don't straight-up copy poses from other photographers for artistic reasons, but some poses we might not totally be able to do! If you've seen it on one of our pages, we know how to talk you through getting into the pose. We also know how our camera needs to be set up and the angles we need to be in to capture it!

Think About What Product Order You Might Want Before Your Session!

This really helps during the reveals. Instead of spending a ton of time going back and forth on products, we can get straight to choosing which pictures you want for which photos.

Book in Advance!

Schedule your session well in advance to secure your preferred date and time. Our weekends tend to book out months in advance, and they're always the first dates that get booked out for the year! You can get your session on the calendar as far as 12 months out (I just scheduled someone for June 10, 2025—CRAZY!!!), so the sooner you get on, the more likely you'll have the best choice of dates. Doing this also gives you time to prepay for your product order, earning you some amazing free bonuses and making it so you get your products super quick!

Come with Dry Hair and a Clean Face!

Make sure your hair is clean and dry for our hairstylist! Coming with wet hair will add extra time to your boudoir session and might put you behind. Also, come with a clean face for our makeup artist! Don't wear makeup to your session so our artist has a blank slate to start with when she goes to hilight your natural features.

Don't Limit Your Lingerie Choices to One Style!

You get 3-4 outfits per session, so try a few different vibes. Casual, glam, bondage and strappy, nude, jeans, lace, jewelry—there are soooo many options! Experiment with different looks to showcase all sides of your personality.

Casual and comfy with a t-shirt and socks? Check. Glamorous and chic with a lace robe? Absolutely. Edgy and bold with some strappy lingerie and thigh-high boots? Yes, please! Mixing it up not only adds variety to your photos but also allows you to express different facets of who you are.

Add Some Personality to Your Sessions!

What makes you feel sexy? Or maybe what does your partner like? Do you have a special interest? We can incorporate anything into your session! We can add some books, or you could wear a costume! What if you wear a sports-themed outfit? Have a passion for music? Bring your favorite instrument! Love a certain movie or TV show? Let's create a themed shoot! Mention your ideas in your consultation and we are more than happy to help try and incorporate them into your session. Adding personal touches makes your session even more meaningful and unique to you.
